I like the idea of using our PS3 IDs or team names as subheadings in each of these categories then we just keep replying to them. I will put the majority of my game highlights in my "office" but when a game with extra significance or odd moments pops up, I'll put it here. Today I had such a game. The PS3 gods had it in for Smoo_boy today. They denied me my chance at my first W by locking up in the bottom of the ninth as I was attempting to close it out. The kick in the balls part was awarding the W to the Mistake by the Lakers. WTF is that!!!!! I was happy to see our third base coach Quade take a foul ball squarley in the balls. What bothers me is he didn't even double over in pain. Great game psk8 -- wait til I get you in Wrigley......

7-4. seems to be the typical ending for the Cubbies. My video crew walked out today and aren't taping until they see something besides 7-4. Way to go freedumbxx. As always you got too much bats. That Ichiro HR was really sickening. I am going to go shoot things now.

Good series, smoo. You are, indeed, the check swing king.
Lots of silly plays all across the board. Everything worked out in the end, though Wink
You put Park in as relief the exact second the Yankees brought Park in for relief on opening night.

Who do you hate more now, Ichiro, or Chipper?

You get more mileage out of re-tread Braves. Think you could get some from Dale Murphy? I will always hate Ichiro more. Chipper is no good either, but Ichiro I cannot stand. Can't wait for the real deal tomorrow down in the 404. I hope the Cubs don't do anything to provoke me into damaging my stimulus package HDTV.

what was going on there LGH. That is one of the most bizarre games I have been in to date. Evidently their servers crashed? Really peeved at how rapidly a good game took a turn for the south. I've got some footage that I will put up. I lead the league in check swing K's and giving up runs on strikeouts. Is Jorge really that bad of a backstop? lol Guys swing at balls he can't catch?

if it goes unresolved, but will be pissed if they tag another "quit" on my record. Smooboy does not quit games. The only thing that can stop Smooboy from completing games are BS internet infrastructure FAILS

Was scouting CLE@NYY Sunday. Here's how it ended. 0:28 + is my favorite part.

Some of the worst baseball on my part I've ever been associated with in all my born days, and that's LOTS of baseball. Anxious to get back out on the field for some redemption. Things that torqued me off in that game:
--All the damage done when your guys are 0-2 AND I throw COMPLETELY wild pitches. Your guys either smash em for extra bases, or Jorge doesn't catch it and your guy gets on first with a dropped 3rd strike.
--Game gets ended before we can finish for no apparent reason other than their servers failed.
--I wasn't trying to tag out Upton on his 0-2 routine grounder to short that he beat out, I was arguing with the umpire, lol.
--Don't take my in game chat as gospel LGH, I didn't really break my controller, but lawd knows I'd so dearly love to throw that thing. I got pissed after PS3 Yankee Alfonso Soriano (who cannot hit a lick as a Chicago Cub) lined a run scoring triple to the gap.
Good Times

On the Upton play I had no purpose of him running to second but I guess I had held the button a tad bit too long and he got up and ran to second. And with the "Triple Play" I was thinking the batter would run to first cause of the dropped 3rd strike but I guess he didn't want to, although that might have to deal with something with men on base.

But sadly it froze last time I seen this happen was against Feedumbxx and he was up 3-0 and I got the win.

And Yes Soriano has been a beast for me.

Looks like Cliff Lee got hurt in a game that didn't matter. I'd be super pissed if that happened. Any updates on his status?

Clincher. Woot!

I did NOT try that wacky double steal early in the game. All of the sudden my guys were halfway down the basepath and I had no idea what was going on. There were atleast 2 other times I was caught stealing when I was simply extending my lead. Whatever. The inside the park home run made up for my own follies lol.

I'm always surprised how slow my guys are to recover when chasing balls. For example, a liner to shortstop, I dive to the left and as such my center fielder is moving to the left as well. So slow to recover, ball goes to the wall. I hate that, lol. What about balls every game going through the wicket? These are major leaguers? I cannot accept those routine play errors. My team does not need any extra help sucking. Will always lead the league in check swings, that really pisses me off too. Your punch and judy hitters beat me with the longball freedumb, that is also hard to swallow. Stick men hittin bombs. Back to the drawing board -- footage coming after I can stomach looking at that game again.
lol!
that's the lol white flag.

Smoo, just saw the box score from your extra innings game with 2thumbs. That looked absolutely heartbreaking. But the good news is, it looks like Prince is starting to crack under the high expectations.

Prince was held in check, but couldn't hold Arod. He either got beaned or hit a home run. Had I won that game, I was contemplating not re-writing over the disk. The least the PS3 MLB 10 the show gods could have done is let me rob that game ending granny. 2LTs would have still tied the game with a sac fly. Have they that low a regard for drama and free baseball???? The game actually was an instant classic.

Santana lasted 2 batters. Put runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the first. How did I get all those 2009 injured pitchers on my roster??? Anyway, my new MO is to throw the RPs at ya, so prepare for that.

One last vent from the still seething volcano. That mlb10 show website shows the game went 9 innings, it went 10!!!!! And just what do those guys who write the league news think they are doing? I have not read one accurate depiction of any of my games from that thing. BBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH....now I'm good.

The descriptions are very weird.

The box scores just skip the beginning of any extra inning game, counting backwards from the last inning and calling it 9. The game summary is still accurate though.

The bullpen plan is actually a good solution, but you have to draft for it. You really need 4 starters that can throw atleast four good innings for you, then go 2, 2, and 1. You'd have to have atleast 6 relievers to make sure they get appropriate amounts of rest. You'd really want 7 or 8 though in case anyone gets rocked or injured or whatever. If you could be successful pitching with each pitcher, the hitters would have a very hard time adjusting. Now keep in mind, in order to draft that sort of bullpen and rotation, you're sacrificing your own lineup, while helping other teams get even strong lineups.
